Does anyone have a garden wildlife camera in their garden that they can recommend ? Preferably I'm looking for one with night time capabilities and wireless computer links.

This is for a Christmas gift so any advice welcomed.

Maybe someone has some video or pictures they'd like to post.

I would like to know about this as well. At one property we maintain, all the Aucuba shrubs have been eaten over recent weeks. The lady asked if they had a disease. Not likely I said looking at the leaves. Her neighbour later said it was a small family of Deers that had been seen around. Our lady then said "Oh I love to catch them on film at night".

So, any camera info (now that I've knicked Gary's thread) would be great as well.....
Gary,

I was in Maplins earlier buying some electrical stuff and saw these on show, so when I got back I found them online; here's a link;

Hey, what about MY sensible idea at Maplins......(that is the electronics shop, not the holiday camp)?

Hi - we recently got a time lapse camera from flyonthewall.com but we're struggling with the formatting. However, it wasn't as expensive as I expected and it should be pretty adaptable.
Keep us informed Gary...it's of real interest to me too.

I forgot about this but I did a post back in the spring about a blue tit cam in a nesting box (thanks to simon Foxley).

Has it got infra red Gary ?

Thanks for this link Jason. I have ordered a camera off their website today after deciding it was the one most suitable for our needs.

I hope to post some pictures or video early next year.

Thanks to others help as well.

Gary,

I can't wait for your report on this camera.  Can't you unwrap it and get her a nice iron or a kettle or summat instead ?

So is it the same make but an upgraded model or something completely different ?

I'm interested in two functions.  Time lapse of general subjects and surveylance to find out what critters attacks my plants in the night.  Might need two seperate bits of kit.

Sounds a bit pervy to me ;-)
