Garden brick wall construction (Large job)
Hi all
One of our clients who we do a maintenance contract for has asked us to find a good firm to build a 7 foot brick wall around their property, however its a large property and I guess the work is going to take many weeks/months depending on number of staff.

7' high!
Do they know that they are going to need Planning Permission for a boundary wall that high (6'6" the allowed height) especially if it is within 2m of a highway (1m high allowed).
Whatever the scenerio, it's gonna be a big job and it is probably best if your Client employs a professional designer such as an Architectural Technician, Civil Engineer or competent Landscape Architect/Garden Designer to make sure all the legalities, foundations (stepped if on a slope), expansion joints, wall profile section (is it part retaining wall?) and coping details are properly thought through.
