fortnightly grass cuts
Is it possible to establish and then maintain a good looking healthy lawn by making fortnightly visits?
Im hoping that my customers lawns are looking so poor due to the lack of rain and not down to me.
If you have fortnightly calls, how are these lawns looking?

Most of my calls are fortnightly and still looking great.
I always try not to mow too short when the weather is hot and dry or the lawns do suffer. They quickly get that dry brown/yellow look but that is also relevant to how much moss is in the lawn. The Moss dries out and goes brown.
Saying that though around July and August I do have to do some lawns weekly.

Fortnightly visits will be fine, most of mine are fortnightly too.

Should be fine, unless as marc said, theres lots of moss, and if its cut too short. The only problems come where there are other underlying problems.

my clients save a few pounds with me as opposed to weekly cuts. plus i would not have time :)

All my lawn cuts are fortnightly, as above they all look fine,
and havent really got time for weeklies

all my lawns ar cut every two weeks and they all look great the only time i have problems is when we get prolonged periods of wet weather the grass gets that bit longer when this happens i tend to cut it at a level up from their normal cut and bring it back down in the dry periods

I only do fortnightly's and a care home I've a contract for is a monthly. I usually raise my blade in dry weather on the fortnighly cuts.
I must admit the monthly cut can look a bit of a dog after four weeks, but the customer is not willing to pay for anymore visits so that's that.

98% of our cuts are fortnightly, and they all look good, infact as we have had a fair bit of rain over the last week or so most of them a getting quite long. But all are green, in prolonged dry spells we mulch every other cut, customers seem to prefer this and loose the stripes for a cut than loose the green grass.

I have a mixture, i find some lawns only require fortnightly cuts and others warrant a weekly. I have one customer who waters the lawn religiously and even after a week it is quite long, I also cut my churchyard weekly but that's because i believe it should always look neat.

I am cutting one of my lawns twice this week due to the amount it is growing.
I am removing about 500kg of grass each cut!
