Exclusive interview with APL chairman Mark Gregory

I will be interviewing the new chairman of the Association of
Professional Landscapers
, Mark Gregory on Thursday this coming week. I
will be asking Mark about his plans for the future but I'd like you to participate too.

Now is the chance for anyone with an interest in landscaping and
gardening in the UK to get involved and help shape the next part of the
industry's future - this is open to all and I would encourage APL
members, potential members and those who've never been or never intend
to be a member to take part.

If you you've got a question you'd like asked then please leave it here - I cannot promise that I'll have time to ask them all but I'll select them in order or importance.

  • Hi Phil,
I own and run a landscape maintenance business with myself and one employee and in the past I have enquired about joining the APL but found the joining and annual fee a bit prohibitive for a small business such as ours. My question would be: would the APL consider a basic membership option for say a cost of approx. £100/annum. The last time I checked it would be £316.75 per annum + £97.75 joining fee, which is quite a lot for a small business, however as the business grew it could afford a full subscription. From small acorns..........
Surely it is in the APL and the industries interests generally, to get as many businesses such as mine on board as possible?
  • Hi there and thanks for the opportunity to ask a question.

I am a Garden Designer and pre registered member of the SGD.

I would like to see more joint events between APL and the SGD.

Please would you ask Mark what plans he has to get the gardening community as a whole together more often?

    Many Thanks
