Domestic Garden Play Area Matting/tiles

Morning all..

I have been asked by a client to provide an estimate for a small domestic garden play area of about 40 sqm using either rubber matting or play tiles to use as the surface for the play area.

The clients children will be using a standard wooden climbing frame/slide/swing combo and require a more substantial surface than woodchip.

I appreciate that there will be critical fall heights to take into consideration and would assume that the heighest point of the top of the slide may be 1.5-1.8 metres.

Therefore I am looking for any suppliers or suppliers/installers that would be interesting in helping me with this project in Borehamwood, Herts.

    have you thought about artificial grass, some of the companies offer a cusion pad sytem to go underneah the grass for play areas.

    Hello,

    I am the Landscape Architect at Russell Play, we design, supply and install play equipment. We have supplied to many domestic garden projects in the past. We would be happy to create a quote for you to supply and install grass tiles, wetpour or loose rubber etc. We can also provide the particular timber climbing frame they would want. Please see our website with some of our products -  or we can send out a catalogue. 

    Grass tiles will be the cheapest form of safety surfacing, you would need around 26 tile to cover the area.

    i can tell you of one product and manufacturer to avoid that you may be considering (none of the above i stress) having used them twice and caught a very bad cold along with the client. I wont publish the name here but if you want to email me ill happily steer you away from them!
