I have the .co.uk domain for my business website, and
managed to get the .com a couple of years ago. I hated seeing
the English gardening companies website next to mine, especially
as it would crash my computer everytime I checked it out, and probably
everyone elses.
It now needs renewing again, - Is there some way I can benefit from having
this domain. Or should I just sit on it.

if you've got the domain why not set up another website to promote your comany, two websites can only be good for your business

I would hold onto it, its only a few quid a year. Why not just redirect it to your main website

I do this with myname.com i.e. www.benedictgreen.com which just goes to my main site. This way I hold on to it for the future and it's useful if someone googles my name.
Whatever you do, don't set up an identical or too similar site as your main website as Google considers this 'black hat' and you'll disappear from the search pages and it'll be difficult and time consuming to get back on. Make sure it's a totally different site.
