LJN is the busiest landscaping and horticulture site of its kind anywhere in the UK.

An awful lot of time goes into maintaining LJN and keeping it at the top of the search engine rankings to benefit its members. The site is free to use, the benefits are far reaching.

There are many members who have joined and never contributed to the site. There are many more members who give a lot of their time and experience helping others. I want to support the latter.

Over 400 dormant member accounts have been removed to date and I'm again in the process of sweeping through and deleting dormant accounts.

My view is, why should non-active members benefit from the site's strong SEO and business benefits if they are not prepared to give something back?

I will of course take a view but you need to participate to benefit.

Love the strong debate that the email has stirred up. Perhaps we could all put similar energy and brainpower into the discussions about landscaping!

Hope everyone has a good week without too much rain.

Great site! Hopefully will be around for a long while, so looking to continue to use this site and contribute if I can..

I think LJ is great just too busy gardening to contribute as much as I would like.

Keep up the good work what I have seen is great.

I dont login very often  at moment as in last two years i am doing more and more tree surgery and hardly any landscaping. Please dont delete my account as when i do a bit of landscaping this forum is great for asking advice.

cheers

Hi Phil, thank you for your email.

Apologies for the lack of communication lately, my partner has been seriously ill for several months and is now recovering from major surgery. This has been taking up lots of my time + trying to keep work coming in through the winter.

I still check out the forums though , keep up the good work, regards, John.

Afraid i was the kid who's school report always said 'she must put her hand up in class more' Must try harder!!

I think this is going to be the longest thread on LJN.

Hi Phil,

I am so sorry that I haven't popped in lately.  I really think the site has developed well beyond my ability to contribute much to the site. I would like to congratulate you on the success of it. Who could have dreamed that it would expand to the extent you have.  I reluctantly therefore must bid you all farewell so feel free to delete my account as and when and I can only wish you further success.  With best wishes and kind regards, Moyra

I agree that LJN is a valuable resource – but just because I don’t post on the site doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate it.  Some of us are up to our eyes in work and have little time, or not confident about IT matters or reluctant to get drawn into some protracted on-line discussion. I don’t think that these are sound reasons to remove names from your list. It's a great site.

Hi Phil

I'm another from the masses of silent members! I did start a discussion fairly recently, although no one else got involved, must have been pretty dull! Don't delete me because I'm boring!

LJN is a great resource and as a fairly new business I need all the help I can get. If I were to start another discussion it would probably be entitled 'What not to do'. I may well do so just to see what other members make of my numerous mistakes!

As a paving manufacturer ( www.nationaltrustpaving.com and www.westminsterstone.com ) my interest is slightly different to most, but I would like to continue to receive your updates. Thanks.

Hi Phil, I agree with the spirit, but hope you will be generous in the application of the "delete" veto. I am new to the site - I joined a couple of months ago and am just starting out in garden design and landscaping. I find content very helpful, but so far do not have enough experience to give anything back. I hope and expect that this will change, but please don't delete people like me who are just starting out!! Thanks.
