I know looking through various threads that there has been more than enough posts re mowers and which do you find best.

My question is in regards to the commercial market.

Our old style side drive Hayter 56 our comming to an end and we are looking to replace them. They have been brilliant for us and very rarely cause us any problems they cut well cared for lawns in the wet and give a perfect finish.

But as the years go on they are becoming harder and harder to find.

What do you use and why

Sadly I am in the same boat as you. We use side drive Hayter 56's. Rarely clog up as they have the full width grass box and they provide perfect stripes on all our clients lawns.... Ours have life in them still, but soon one will have to be replaced.

Never really understood why they changed the drive shaft on these :(

I use the Sarp Honda mowers for everything. They take a bashing, and are powered by Honda, but best of all they are about 1/3rd cheaper than the Honda pro model.
The new 56 Pro has a slightly larger chute for the wet grass but still not as good as the pre 2007 models, but I really dont beleive theres anything better out ther that will give you as good a finish. I always have 2 and buy a new one each year, take a look at the new one.
