Hi guys and gals, hope your all finding the season starting to pick up and work coming in!

I have a job cutting the grass around the grounds of some office blocks coming up which hasn't had any maintenance work done for 12 months looking at it.

The grass has been left long and is now lying down over itself and i was wondering how others cut and collect grass when it has been left like this??

I've done a few gardens like this but they were relatively small and we cut the grass, raked up the cuttings and cut it again collecting with the mower but i dont really fancy doing this on a large scale.

Is there a mechanical way of doing this or am i destined for a couple of days on the rake?

On larger areas I use my westwood ride on which has a brush collection system, if you cant get a ride on in then i suppose you'll just have to rake it up.
If you dont have a decent ride-on capable of doing it, hire one or hire in a company that has. Days spent raking up grass is days wasted. Well worth hiring a ride-on for this.
