Landscape Juice Network

The garden and landscape network for horticulture professionals

I received this today

We spoke to you a while ago for our first Series and we are now on the hunt for stories for Series 2.

Channel 4 is making a major primetime series following the design and creation of highly ambitious and beautiful new private gardens, and the inspirational people driving them, over the course of a year.

The series is a celebration of people and their passion for Nature, and a realistic portrayal of what is involved in creating truly stunning landscaped gardens. The series will set a new benchmark for this area and show people with ideas and passions and visions that go far and away beyond anything we normally associate with gardening on TV.

Each programme will follow the nitty-gritty of one large-scale project across the seasons, from autumn earthworks to spring seeding to the reveals in late summer next year. As documentary, they will follow the processes and problems through the eyes of gardeners, builders, and designers. But our central characters will be the owners, whose stories are the heart of the programmes.

From the creator of Grand Designs, this series will be fronted by Matthew Wilson, who has over 20 years experience in Garden Design, journalism, and curating RHS gardens. He is currently Associate Director of Design for the The Landscape Agency.

We are looking for real projects to follow that are epic, conceived and paid for by people with design ambition, imagination and determination, who will take us on their adventures as they strive to create truly beautiful, big and outstanding garden designs.

shame the angle is from #customers point of view !
i thought it was going to give an owners/landscapers view for a change to show 'our' side !!
it would be so much better . (more intersting) !!!
sites / machinary / problems with idea's / time taken / no toilets / no shops etc etc

its like no-one is interested..........only programmes to 'show off' peoples homes/gardens (money spent)........
SO BORING - when will people get an imagination ;-( thank GOD for luis theroux !!

I often thought it would make good viewing to follow a landscaper (like the garage on discovery) the ups and downs of a year! just think of all the funny moments like one of my lads last week falling in a pond we were working on...or being shot with a pressure washer ! the moments when the customers say " i dont like that now can we change it this way thinking its a 5 min job! when it will take days..i think next year i will film a average year ....and put together a dvd with the best bits..! lol

yes - they obviously havent got a clue what s going on at the moment !

- has anyone got a 10-30k project booked in for next summer ????? maybe ch4 will pay them £3k for filming which is something positive for a big LandScaper like Kerry or Claudia

kerrie ? kerry? david.b ? i have one hedge job. one tree job. (one gate for family/one drive entrance sets for family).............

Great for somebody on here i hope :-) *******

If any one is thinking of going after this Id personaly think about how invasive the film crew will be, If you have a good crew following you it will be ok, but if you get a crew who do not get how you work or at least pick it up quickly will realy drain your productivity, just a word of advice.

Whilst doing garden makeovers for ITV we have had mainly good crews but the odd crew who just dont get it, mainly standing just were you want to move to or asking inapropreate questions at the wrong time.

Also as you will be on TV ALL PPE has to be worn even the stupid things like wearing gloves when grinding or when operating diggers etc.
