  Ring Google see about their advertising don't know about costs but so know I works friend of mine has shops he spends 12k a year but it makes him 100k plus might be expensive for a one man band like yourself

  Chesterfield is a big area have you googled yourself with more local parameters eg postcode? I know when I want another trade in and don't know of anyone I google ? In postcode area eg ln2 for me hope that helps

  what have you used for your website??
  I used wordpress and that have some great plugins

  There is a SEO optimiser on there! its pretty good. although i still have more to do!

  I host my site with fast hosts, and use wordpress to build my site! I am getting there with word press. i prefer doing it my self although it takes longer.

  Not had a look at your page, but I like the name. Here's my advice...

  Have someone who knows HTML go through your pages, add suitable and specific "META" tags and "ALT" tags to images. Don't bother repeating keywords too much, google views it as spamming.

  Sign up for a google local listing/maps listing/google plus page, a linked facebook/twitter/blogging account and also a link back to LJN will all improve your chances.

  Don't expect to get results overnight but in a couple of months this WILL improve your ranking. All these methods are free, just take a bit of time and when the google robots notice your bigger presence on the web it'll generally bump you up a few pages.

  If you have cash to spend, the first results on google are often some of the bigger directories (Yell/Thompson etc) so if you want to spend a couple of quid with them, and also get your details on other free directories, plenty of people will find you through them. I've never paid for google advertising, but google robots will notice if you spend money with them directly and your organic listing willbe ranked higher.

  Final thought. I (and many of my friends) run Adblocker on all websites, so depending on your target market (I like to think I pass for young-ish), any google ads may be blocked completely.

  Good luck, you could spend all winter on this if you wanted but any of the above will help.
