Banks umm
Tomorrow we enter the 20th century, thanks to a bank.
To explain... We did not want a loan, overdraft or mortgage, or to borrow anything, but we wanted a Credit Card terminal to be able to take payments from our customers. In early January we applied for one.
January came and went, still nothing.
February arrived, then the Banker is on holiday, must be bonus time?
March, Banker back from holiday, re-training how to answer telephone and emails.
March 15th PROGRESS !!! Old fashioned credit card swipe machine arrived :-))) Hold on, the bank says we can't use it, yes relectantly on their part, we can.
March 22nd at last!!! It has arrived. What an ordeal.
We can now, well from tomorrow after lunchtime accept most major Credit and Debit cards as payment.
Next task, let the bank know about the 21st century.

Maybe we should have a costs comparison thread in the business objectives group? We've had a few calls from "independent" card processors recently, and although they are much cheaper than the banks usual charges, they don't compare well with our HTA members deal.
