On site until 3pm and it was windy but dry up until then and good progess was being made.

Heavens opened and that curtailed the activities for today.

Pressure washing tomorrow so the weather won't bother me - hopefully the wind will be behind me though!

Winds up here are tornado force, scary stuff. Top of Cairngorm summit recorded 165mph earlier...that's almost the highest wind ever recorded in the UK (173). Nasty weather front swirling like a massive tornado with the most compacted pressure system right over central scotland. Just wonder what the carnage will be like tomorrow.

When my boy Graham stepped round the corner from the pressure washer he returned to a smashed slate on the ground exactly where he was standing 2 mins before!  Job done, all home safe.  Re-sanding the next dry day.  He got home to his own fence down, just missed neighbours car!

Very windy here today, rain held off until I'd nearly finished thankfully. Still managed to prune one large apple tree and take some big branches off another. Was abit hairy being up the trees with wind like that even though they wasn't particularly high! Kept the chainsaw helmet on all day just incase.
When I'd finished there I drove to my manor house job to check on the trees there. The sideways rain started and soaked me in seconds!
Quite exilerating being out in bad weather I think!

Had the builders where I was working today make several comments to me about "aren't you getting wet" etc, so as i'd managed to weed all the borders needed, I did give up 1/2 hr early. - Now got to brave the dark and winds to drive to a WI group to give a talk on Winter colour in the garden. - May have a fairly empty hall to talk to.

It was wet here in Northern Ireland up to 9am but mostly dry after that. Very windy but i spent the day at hedges anyway, day 2 of a 3 day job. Hopefully get it finished tomorrow.

Have been working, cutting fire wood, cleaning low level gutters, working with the wind to aid in leaf gathering!!, bit of hedge cutting and boarder tidying. I actually managed to cut a customers lawn today without making any mess, can't believe its still growing.

I'll work in most conditions unless it's non stop rain or snow, pretty much writes everything off in my book.

Luckily working inside today as a customer is fitting air sourced heat pumps to a workshop and I was laying all the plastic pipe for the radiators.

Cheers

Mark
