Have you signed your business up to twitter and if so, what do you think about being a twit?

Do you tweet a lot??... does it benefit your business??

@jimbograss   if anyones interested, I dont say much...    Yet!  ;0)

How about a Bio and a link to your website, so that people can find you, - it helps when you've got others to talk to :)

Same, as part of my current web page redesign and SEO & SMO integration I'm signed up for twitter as a business user (I've used it for a while personally, but decided to 'rebrand' to our work name) I'm @dclandscapes

I'm like you JP.  Can't think of anything about my life that anyone would have the slightest interest in following.  If I knew of a way it could benefit my business, I'd give it a go.

How about this for starters.  "Just watched episode 1, season 5 of The Sopranos".  Now having a fag break and a chat with my Granddaughter on Skype then back to the settee for episode 2".  Yawn !!

With Twitter, - just like any conversation, if you only talk about yourself, then you are boring, - however if you take part in a conversation and ask questions and answer them then -" just watched episode 1 of the sopranos" gives you something in common with other people that like that programme.

Like LJN twitter is all about building relationships, - and finding out information, - but you have a far larger reach than you ever could have through relationships on the ground, - that can be local or worldwide, - I would have thought that for someone with an internet business it was essential

Hi Claire,  I've got nothing against Twitter.  I guess I may be guilty of having some ill informed opinions about it though.  Perhaps I should have a look at it.  Apart from signing up with a name (does one use one's own name ?), where do you suggest I should go from there to get a feel for it ?

I think a lot of people are ill informed, and the press doesn't help that, - don't forget that EVERYTHING you say can be found, - make sure you are doing it for your business and have fun, - - your welcome to follow me, @plantpassion, and i'll follow you back

I highly recommend this FREE no obligation checklist from a mentor of mine

FREE twitter checklist - (scroll down to the bottom and enter your email, - she never sells on your address and won't spam and is very quick to respond if you want to take your name off, although I think her business advice is great)

it will get you doing it the right way and teach you about etiquette.

Have fun

In for a penny ...........  I've signed up as WildernessTamer and I'm following you.  What happens now ?

I'll create a business account later.

Paul, I just looked and apprently I'm registered ?

I do believe it's worth giving twitter a go.  I tweeted the other day about the Lantra award I have won and then was invited on the local BBC radio station for a live interview about an hour ago.  Nothing like being thrown into the deep end!  If I didn't have a twitter account I and my business wouldn't have been able to get that exposure.  So I would say, give it a try.  If anyone wants to follow me I am @bluedaisyuk  and I'll follow you back  :)

I've got a Twitter account with a feed onto my website which helps mwith my page ranking

As it's a business account I only tweet about gardening but follow lots of stuff that interests me.

(I'm on Twitter as @ashgategc )
Just tweeted my first tweet but I don't know if it appears on my follower's pages ?
