Any recommendations on new mower?

Our Hayter jubilee 48 is well past it so i am looking for a replacement.I am looking for a petrol mower 19/21 inch deck that a 3in1 mulch/pick up or leave type.Got to be reliable,economical and costing less than £500.Has anyone got a suggestions/advice or horror stories to share about similar mowers you all use?
