Evening all, how much would you charge for a ton dumpy bag of reasonable quality tree mulch, mixed hard and soft wood, fairly well broken down?.

I give it to my clients for free, use it for mulching up shrub beds on my housing estates work. I don't think there's any real value on it unless you were delivering it to their garden and putting it down for them

Generally we tip at allotments and stables for free
Permalink Reply by Gareth Main @ Newick Landscapes on February 8, 2012 at 22:39 I used to charge £45 pm3 for composted hardwood chippings including loose delivery, tend to buy in a better grade now as it lasts longer. I used to get the chippings from a tree surgeon for free, turn with a mini digger after a few months and after 6 months its good to go.

I can get composted woodchip mulch from a local nursery for £15+VAT per cubic metre loose.
